Newport Beach Engagement Session

AMANDA + MATT // Corona Del Mar

Amanda came to me wanting to celebrate her graduating from Cal State Fullerton but also to celebrate her 4 year anniversary with Matt. This session was so much fun getting creative , incorporating pieces from her collage years like her school books and cap & gown.  The light was killer and we just had blast ! Matt was a huge help carrying all her books like GENTLEMEN, making her laugh during the session  and mommy came along carrying all her wardrobe changes. Meanwhile you could see in both their eyes (her moms & boyfriends) how proud they are of Amanda & all she has accomplished. She will be graduating with a Bachelors in Child Development and I couldn't be happier for her! And lastly, CONGRATS on your 4 year anniversary you two lovebirds!

{ M a t t + L a u r e n } // E n g a g e m e n t // Newport Beach Engagement Session

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, Newport Beach is always a gorgeous place for light & love and a perfect location for a Southern California engagement session. This fun couple {Matt & Lauren} wanted simplicity for their session so that the main focus could be their affection for one another and connection to the beach location. This lifeguard tower 10 is where they spent most of their days as a dating couple before being engaged . It is a sentimental location for them as they embark on new adventures as a married couple and new fur baby parents!

THE PROPOSAL

"After dating for Two and a half years Matt knew that he was ready to pop the big question. They had discussed a trip to New York with Matt's roommate Carl to visit their friend Jay. Matt knew this would be the perfect location. While Matt was busy planning and buying the ring, he had Jay walk through Central Park to scout out the perfect spot. With Jay's help the plan was finalized.

After spending 3 days in the city site seeing, touring, and enjoying time with friends the big day had arrived. They headed out to walk through Central Park with a group of friends. They were on their way to brunch at the Lighthouse in the middle of the park. When they arrived at the Oak bridge that Jay scouted out, Matt gave the "code word" to his friends to let them know he was about to propose so they could video and take photos of the event. While on the bridge posing for pictures, Matt caught Lauren by surprise and got down on one knee. As you all know, Lauren said YES!"
