Nothing better than getting to capture one of your best friends during their special milestones. Leilani and I met during our years in college and walked the stage earning our degrees together at CSULB, then both started our own businesses and now starting her own family- which makes me jump for joy for her and Shane as they embark on this new chapter in their lives . It’s such a beautiful thing to go thru this journey of life together , and what an honor it is when a friend entrusts in me to be the one to capture it all for them.
When discussing possible photoshoot locations for their maternity photos, we thought it would be fun to head to the desert and shoot at Joshua Tree National Park for those sun drenched open landscape shots. We knew it would be a magical place to shoot and worth the drive and even worth baring the 100 degree heat, ha. We even stopped off the side of the highway to snap a few windmill shots which has always been on my shooting-bucket-list . This ended up being such a fun day! It is definitely going down as one of my favorite-ever-locations . You just cant beat the dreamy light of the desert!
