Although this is not the usual work you see me share on here, it can be exciting to switch it up from families/maternity/newborn from time to time but especially when it means capturing a talent like Roxanne.
This Canadian beauty , Roxanne West, visited Cali earlier this month and reached out to get some lifestyle portraits done - especially since the incredible Justin Anderson was going to be beautifying her hair this visit! What a dream to capture her and all her beauty, both inside and out. We strolled the gorgeous Lido Marina Village taking in the aesthetic of all the shops & restaurants and even stopping at the local farmers market, they put on every Wednesday, for a few testers. Although Roxanne probably would not mention it, she is a master at interior design and so it was only fitting we chose a spot that vibed with so much inspiration around us. One of our favorite stops was the Honers Coffee shop. They have hands down one of the best Vanilla Iced Lattes in town and their design is mind blowing good.
It’s so neat to think Roxanne and I started off as social media friends and yet even from states away and not a lot of face to face , still are able to re-kindle our friendship in person. Love this talented hardworking lady ! It was an honor hanging with her and her sweet gal friend Danielle for the day as they experienced SoCal and took a break from the everyday stressors of motherhood/careers etc. All mammas need a few days like this to getaway and spend at the spa, hair salon and being in front of the camera!

Loved this modern natural light in-home session with The Levins Family! Their home was a dream to photograph as it was full of bright whites and touches of mid-century style, and lots and lots of love! I cannot tell you guys enough how much I adore getting the opportunity to document family sessions in the space where their love grows!

This sweet family invited me into their home to document their new little addition to the family . When I entered into this nursery that this mamma pieced together and designed for her little girl arriving , my jaw about dropped. For starters, every last detail was so intentional and the color palette was pretty much a photographers dream! Second, big brother Fin was super excited to show off his new little sister and definitely stole the show (in a good way) Every mamma wants their baby’s first ever room to be special and Nicole definitely nailed it ! I mean c’mon, look at that hand made bracelet with baby girls name spelt out, how stinkin cute & personal is that?!
The aesthetic of this nursery is honestly to die for and I couldn't stop swooning over it our entire session, clicking away on my camera.

Cynthia is really talented florist at The Blooming Bud that I have worked with and so when she reached out to me to photograph her sweet little family (husband+fur baby ) I was so honored & excited! This session was full of laughter and sweet morning cuddles + sweet real life stuff . Yes I just said "stuff.” We wanted this session to incapsulate who they are; and we did just that by hanging out in the comfort of their home capturing everyday moments. We also incorporated what their passions and careers that they love. See for yourself this fun lifestyle session!
L i f e s t y l e // Some fun shots of my munchkins as they get settled into their new rooms in the new house .. It’s been chaotic since we are in the process of moving but when I take a moment to sit down to watch my girls play like this I am reminded it’s all worth it. I am reminded to slow down, the packed boxes can unpack later, the laundry can wait , the dishes can wait- because these girls are my world and time is so precious. I love love watching them play and love when they are using imaginative play. It is as if time freezes and nothing else around us is as important as living this very moment. My oldest loves to sing, dance and is creative at heart. She can make something from nothing - I want her to remember these times in her childhood forever .
Capturing their childhood is so rewarding as a mommy.
