When creating imagery for families, I hope to tell their story. I hope that what I create allows the viewer to go back in time for a moment, relishing in the sentiment of that chapter of his/her life , as a way to still hold onto it, in a sense. We all know time can be a fleeting thing but creating imagery that reflects the stage of life you are in now , allows you to re-live that beautiful moment again later. Photographs are what keep us connected ; reminding us of people, places, feelings, and stories.
Whether its remembering as a child how you flew high in the air when dad jumped on the trampoline with you, the nostalgia of moms scent when you cuddled up beside her with a book, or the sound of notes on the piano playing in the house with your fur-babies crowding around your feet; all of it encompasses a part of your story, a sliver of their childhood . Photographs are a way to savor that. Reminds me of my fav quote ; “You never know the value of a photograph, until its all you have left“. Ain’t that the truth though? Something to ponder when considering whether to take the picture or be in the picture. ;)
Lucky for me, I get to go into Orange County homes capturing the mundane everyday life moments you have with your little babes! Being an OC Lifestyle Photographer feels like a dream sometimes! I mean, I get to witness & capture the rawness of your family in the home where all the love grows , how special is that?
Just remember, you document something, you get to have it forever. <3

Family sessions in Orange County offer so many beautiful beach locations with such dreamy light! I try never to take for granted the gorgeous beaches we live near, especially during Spring and Summer! I love when vacationers email me to capture their memories while visiting beautiful SoCal , I mean what better way to remember their vacation? I’m excited to share this gorgeous Santa Barbara Family Session on the BLOG with you guys! This mamma is a fellow photographer (of Jennifer Kulakowski Photography) who traveled from Washington DC and asked me to document her sweet family while vacationing here! I have to admit its always nerve wracking shooting other photogs in the industry but this mammas is too sweet for words and her adorable (and incredibly photogenic) family made my job super easy! We had gorgeous sunset light and the entire stretch of beach to ourselves this night , it was a perfect evening for a family session!
